The Email Sanctuary

On-demand from 1st September*

Four weeks. One framework-based writing exercise a week. A completely private, 1:1 structured email exchange.

Email Sanctuary

After the success of Pocket Sanctuary (now open to all), and the cohort-based Email Sanctuary sessions, from September 1st, Email Sanctuary will also be opening up to on-demand.

What's included

A weekly framework-based writing prompt. One considered piece of writing arrives every Monday, built to take you somewhere specific, not just give you something to fill a page with.

A real reply, not a template. Your writing stays yours. Send me your reflections, what came up, what it uncovered, whatever you're comfortable sharing, and within 48 hours you get a personal, considered letter back, holding space for whatever you've found.

Room to think between rounds. You're not expected to reply the same day. Write, let it sit, come back to it when you're ready.

Extra resources to work through or keep for later, at your own pace.

Four weeks. One framework-based journal prompt a week.

Here's how it works.

Receive Your Prompt: Every Monday morning, a deep, structured therapeutic writing prompt arrives directly in your inbox.

1

Write Your Way: You take all the time you need with it throughout the week, letting your reflections land on the page at your own pace.

2

Check In: When you are ready, you send me a couple of lines about your insights, what surprised you, or how the experience felt, not the private writing itself. That is entirely yours to keep.

3

Get a Real Reply: Within 48 hours, I will write back to you personally. There are no automated responses or chatbots here; it is just me sending a considered, supportive letter to witness what you've uncovered.

4

See the Shift: By the end of the four weeks, you will have quietly and steadily used your own words to navigate the noise, reclaim your boundaries, and find your feet.

What clients thought about Pocket Sanctuary

Pocket Sanctuary is a 5-day, email-based 1:1 sprint.

Email Sanctuary is a slower, four-week version, with more space, more depth.

Both offer real, personal replies, not templates or automation.

“The most valuable part of the five days for me was experiencing the one-to-one listening and reflective feedback. I loved having the time to respond, write down my initial thoughts, let them percolate during the day, and then take the time to summarise them in writing before receiving a measured, validating response.”

Pocket Sanctuary Client

“The journaling prompts were incredibly useful for getting me to think about specific issues, and writing about them allowed me to get my thoughts in much better order. Having to reflect on my reflections in order to send my feedback forced me to be far more objective and properly organise my thinking into something coherent.”

Email Sanctuary FAQ

What's the difference between Email Sanctuary and your 1:1 sessions?

Email Sanctuary is a four week programme with a set structure, the same themes and exercises for everyone, delivered by email. It's a brilliant starting point if you want guided journal therapy without committing to ongoing sessions.

1:1 journal therapy is different. We start with an onboarding questionnaire, and I build sessions specifically around you, what you're working through, and how you're progressing. Nothing's predetermined, it shifts as you do.

What happens if Email Sanctuary is full when I want to join?

Spaces are capped at six at a time, so I can give each person proper attention rather than spreading myself too thin. If it's full when you land here, pop your name on the waitlist and I'll email you the moment a spot opens.

How is on demand different from the old cohort model?

Cohorts used to start on one fixed date, so you had to wait until the next intake opened. On demand means you can join whenever there's a space available, rather than waiting for a set start date. The four week structure itself hasn't changed, just how and when you get in.

Can I do Email Sanctuary and 1:1 sessions at the same time?

Yes, some people find the two work well together. Email Sanctuary gives you a steady, structured rhythm to return to each week, while 1:1 sessions go deeper into whatever's specific to you. If you're considering both, get in touch and we can talk through what order might suit you best.

What if I fall behind during the four weeks?

That's completely fine. There's no obligation to reply the same day, or even the same week. Write when you're ready, and pick the thread back up whenever you can. This is meant to fit around your life, not the other way round.

Is this the right starting point for me, or should I go straight to 1:1 sessions?

If you'd like a gentle, guided introduction to journal therapy with a clear structure, Email Sanctuary is a good place to begin. If you already know you're dealing with something specific and want sessions built entirely around it from the start, 1:1 journal therapy will likely serve you better. If you're not sure, a free 15 minute call is exactly the place to work that out together.
